Farmington Obituary: Evelyn Kowalski

Condolences to her family and friends.

Evelyn “Evie” Kowalski, of Farmington, beloved wife of the late Bernard M. Kowalski, passed away peacefully Monday, February 1 at her home.

Evie enjoyed nothing more than being able to help others and to be surrounded by her loved ones. From a successful business woman, fierce tennis player all the way to her newest accomplishment of great- grandmother, she has faced everything in her life with a soft spoken poise and a contagiously calming smile. Her times in the Cape with her family, on the dance floor with her husband and in the kitchen hosting her loved ones at her home are certainly among some of the warm memories we will all hold onto fondly. Her unwavering love and strong faith which she devoted her life to will reside with everyone who had the honor of knowing her.

Evelyn valued her family above all and will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind. She was a wonderful mother to her “darlins”, Marie Hunt of Farmington and Joan (husband John) McConville of Clinton, a loving grandmother (Mimi) to Ashley (husband Steve) Greenbacker of Clinton, Megan (husband Jimmy) Girolamo of West Hartford, Benjamin and Blaine Hunt both of Farmington, and a very special great-grandmother to Jack and Riley Greenbacker and James Girolamo. Additionally, she adored all her nieces and nephews whom she always shared a very special bond.
