Farmington Obituary: Gary Choolgian, 74

Gary Edward Choolgian of Farmington, 74, died at UConn's John Dempsey Hospital on March 25, 2017 after a long illness.

He was born in Hartford on January 22, 1943 and was the son of the late Archie and Sophie (Elnisky) Choolgian. He was a graduate of Wethersfield High School and the University of Hartford.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathryn (Boltz) Choolgian, stepdaughter Priscilla Ramage, her husband John Ramage, and their daughter Katie Ramage; his sister Adrienne Shepard, her husband William, and their children Derek Shepard, Zachary Shepard, and Amanda Shepard; mother-in-law Marie Boltz, brother-in-law Thomas Boltz, sister-in-law Jean Guthrie, her husband Ed DeGroat, and her children Brian Guthrie and Kat Guthrie. He will also be greatly missed by his favorite cousin Joseph Elnisky and his wife Sandra and dear friends William and Janet Petrunti.

Gary was an avid golfer in his younger days and a salesman extraordinaire for over 40 years. He loved cars, especially Corvettes, and dogs, especially Campbell.

There are no calling hours, and burial is private.
