
Henry M. Adamcewicz, 77, formerly of Farmington passed away Thursday January 21, 2016 at Apple Rehab in Cromwell. He was the son of the late Ferdynand and Jozefa (Roslik) Adamcewicz.
Born on October 18, 1938 in Poland, he came to the United States as a child and lived in Farmington for most of his life until recently moving to Kensington. He worked at Miss Porter’s School in Farmington for over 50 years until his retirement. Henry enjoyed the simple things with an occasional trip to the casino, he loved playing soccer as a teen into his adult years for the Falcons in New Britain and was great at his talent of furniture upholstering. His greatest passion was spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves his sons, Edward Adamcewicz and wife, Enza of Kensington, and John Adamcewicz and of Portland, sisters, Ginger Prouty and husband, Robert of South Windsor and Jean Tanski of Deep River, grandchildren, Anthony and Arianna, nieces and nephews, Laura, Paul, Gladys,Melissa, Marshall, Steve, Henry, Michael and Richard, several great nephews and nieces and also leaves Elisabeth Goryl-Phillips of New Britain. He was predeceased by his brother, John.

Funeral services will be held on Monday January 25, 2016 with a Mass at 10AM directly at SS Cyril and Methodius Church Popieluszko Court, Hartford. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. There are no calling hours.
