
Jessica Rose McNamara, 22, of Farmington, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 27th, 2017.
Born February 14th, 1995 in Hartford, she was the beloved daughter of James P. and Maria (Rivas) McNamara of Farmington. Jessie was known for her soft-spoken, compassionate, selfless nature. A beautiful, intelligent young woman, Jessie anchored her family. She redefined bravery and resilience in her struggle with cancer. Like all who encountered Jessie, the wonderful caretakers at St. Francis Hospital and Cancer Center were touched by her kind, gentle, gracious manner.
Jessie was a senior at CCSU, on course to graduate Summa Cum Laude. Jessie’s legacy is that she bettered the lives of all who were graced by her presence.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her sister, Amanda N. McNamara of Farmington, her brother, James Thomas McNamara and his wife Felice D. Santorelli of Easthampton, MA, her maternal grandmother, Estela Rivas of Sacramento, CA and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Monday (July 31) from 4:00-8:00pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday (Aug. 1) at 10:00am in the Church of St. Mary Star of the Sea, Unionville. All are kindly asked to meet directly at church.
