Smokey was stubborn and rarely followed doctor’s orders, thus the ever present cigar and the diet of capicola and ice cream. This did not slow him down and he managed to raise hell for many decades on his own terms. He loved to tell stories and true to his Irish heritage, his stories were rarely short and often repeated. He will be greatly missed by his many friends, family members, and neighbors.

No services will be held per his wishes but donation can be made to the Veterans Service Office/Museum 140 Main St. Torrington, CT 06790.
