Farmington Obituary: Joseph Lavigne, 88

Joseph P. Lavigne, 88, of Farmington, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 1, 2017 in the comfort of his family. He was the loving husband of the late Malvina Lavigne for 64 years.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a welder and owned his own radiator shop.

Joseph is survived by his three daughters, Charlene McKeon and husband Robert of Southington, Stephanie Meade and Les McHugh of Bristol and Roxanne Genovese of Middletown, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his brother, Frank and sister, June. He was predeceased by his mother, Josephine, his brother, Tommy and sister, Rosie.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday (Oct. 6) at noon in the Church of St. Patrick, 110 Main St., Farmington followed by burial with full military honors in State Veteran’s Cemetery, Middletown.
