
Lawrence (Larry) S. Donagher, 66, of Farmington, peacefully joined his wife of 43 years on January 28, 2018 with his family by his side.
Larry was the son of Mary (Moriarty) and Hugh Donagher (both deceased) of West Hartford. Larry attended Our Lady of Sorrow and graduated from South Catholic High School in 1969, and immediately began work as a Machinist for Chandler Evans, a career that would span a lifetime.
At the age of fifteen Larry met the love of his life and they built a life together filled with love, laughter, 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and endless amounts of good memories. Larry began to pursue higher education in the 1980s, and ultimately earned an Associate in Science from Hartford State Technical College in 1986, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Central Connecticut State University in 1992, and a Master of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1998.

Larry was a consistent blood donor to the American Red Cross. He loved to be outdoors working on the yard and house. He enjoyed going to the beach and had fun boating and fishing. He never missed a family event or celebration and cherished his time with family and friends. He loved his wife and kids dearly.
Larry is survived by his three children, Jessica Brand and her husband Jeff of West Hartford, Mary Ann Donagher of West Hartford, and Michael Donagher and his wife Margaret of Simsbury. He also leaves behind his three cherished grandchildren Avelynn (6) and William (1) Brand, and Noah Donagher (1). Larry also leaves behind many extended family members including; his brother Hugh J. and his wife Barbara Donagher, brother Tommy and his wife Sandy Donagher, sister Sheila and her husband John O’Connell, brother John and his wife Carole Donagher, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Thursday, February 1st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Friday, February 2nd at 9:45 a.m. followed by the Funeral Liturgy in St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 160 Garden St. in Farmington.
