Farmington Obituary: Leigh Turner, 86

Leigh Everett Turner, 86, of Farmington, beloved husband of Dolores (Landon) Turner, passed away Monday, August 7th, 2017.

Born in Hartford, June 2nd, 1931, he was the son of the late Edward and Bessie (Crombie) Turner. Prior to retiring, Leigh was a Supervisor for SNET. He was a United States Navy veteran, having served with the Seabees and was a member of Tunxis Hose Co. #1 in Unionville.

Besides his wife of 62 years, Leigh is survived by his children, Brian Turner and his wife Jackie of Burlington, Patti Standish and her husband James of West Hartford, Leigh Turner and his wife Sherri of Canton and Lisa Topper and her husband Steve of Barre, MA, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Sunday (Aug. 13) from 4:00-6:00pm followed by a Prayer Service in the funeral home at 6:00pm.
