
Lois (Schneider) Alderman, 90, beloved wife of 69 years of the late Leonard Richmond Alderman of Burlington, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Amberwoods of Farmington.
Born in Plainville on November 8, 1927, she was the daughter of Irving and Catherine (Reynolds) Schneider, and step-daughter of Harold Augustus Jenkins, and resided in Burlington most of her life. She graduated from the District 1 Old Center School and Farmington High School, and was employed at the Robotham Insurance Company prior to her marriage.
Lois was a lifelong member of the Congregational Church of Burlington, where she served as Sunday school teacher. She also volunteered as den mother for the Boy Scouts. She enjoyed a number of hobbies including gardening, painting, and bird watching.

She is survived by her two sons Robert and his wife Debbie of Bristol, and Gary of Washington, DC, and her granddaughter Emily Alderman. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law Richard Alderman, of Vermont, and sister-in-law Nancy (Alderman) Jewett, of Farmington.
Funeral Services will be at the Congregational Church of Burlington on June 9th at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Center Cemetery, Burlington.
