
Mae B. McCahill, 89, of Farmington, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 6th surrounded by her family.
Born in Hartford, May 6th, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anne (Cuddigan) Benton. Prior to retiring, Mae was a teacher in the Hartford Public School System and was a communicant at the Church of St. Patrick in Farmington.
Mae is survived by her son, James A. McCahill of Farmington, her three grandchildren, Jason M. McCahill and his wife Cindy of Southbury, Melissa J. McCahill of Farmington and Danielle McCahill of East Hartford and her four great-grandchildren, Jasmine S. McCahill, Celia M. Myers, Quinn R. McCahill and Marguerite G. McCahill.

Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Wednesday (Aug. 9) from 5:00-7:00pm and again on Thursday (Aug. 10) from 8:30-9:30am. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Thursday at 9:30am followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Church of St. Patrick, 110 Main St., Farmington at 10:00am. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Program at the Farmington Valley VNA, 8 Old Mill Lane, Simsbury, CT 06070.
