Farmington Obituary: Marie Twining, 99

Marie (Mitchell) Twining, 99, widow of David J. Twining, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 16, 2018.

Born July 31, 1919 in Farmington, daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Wanatowicz) Malinowski, she resided in town her entire life. Marie operated a daycare out of her home for many years.

She is survived by her five children, Kathryn Karnecki, John Twining (Faith), Denise Twining, Susan Twining and Sheila McCallum (David), 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, her brother, Victor Mitchell, two special nieces Margaret Anderson and Sharon Marshall and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the wonderful nurses and staff at Countryside Manor in Bristol for the love and care they gave to Marie.

Friends may call at the Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Thursday (Sept. 20) from 10:00-11:00am followed by a Prayer Service in the funeral home at 11:00am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Collinsville.
