
Nicholas Andrew Cowles, of Farmington, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
Nicholas was born on February 10, 1999. During his life, he overcame many challenges while teaching all those around him to have compassion, patience, and express love. Nicholas enjoyed attending Farmington Public Schools where he was active in unified sports with the assistance of great friends and caregivers. Nicholas was excited to attend his brother’s sporting events and always looked forward to vacationing in York Beach, ME and Falmouth, MA with extended family.
The Cowles family is grateful for all the support provided by the many caregivers, teachers and friends, and so appreciative of all the doctors and nurses who provided advice and care over the years.

Nicholas is predeceased by his loving grandparents, Donald and Anita Cowles, and Anne M. Fay. He is survived by his mother, Sheila Fay Cowles and Steve Holhubner, and his father, Thomas A. Cowles and Pam Morrow; his grandfather, David A. Fay and Carolyn Black Fay; his brother, Matthew T. Cowles; step-siblings, Max Holhubner, and Olivia and Julia Morrow; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Nicholas will be honored in a private service at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center of Avon.
