
Robert B. Parsons, 67 of Manchester, loving husband for 44 years of Vicki (Prince) Parsons, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Manchester Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
Bob was born in Hartford on December 25, 1949, son of the late Paul and Patricia (Morton) Parsons. He was raised in Unionville and Avon, graduated from Avon High School, and earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwood Institute in Michigan.
Bob worked in the automobile industry for over 50 years. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed their family trips to Maine where they spent time boating and sailing.

With his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sara Nowik and her husband David of Manchester, and Christine Terracciano and her husband Anthony of Waterford. He was a loving Papa to seven grandchildren, Robert John, Zachary, and Michael Nowik, and Sophia, Rocco, Vienna, and Gianna Terracciano; his brothers and sisters, Jennifer Williams and her husband Brian, Richard Parsons, David Parsons and his wife Karen, Denice Capitani and her husband Bill, Diane Parsons, Stephanie Parsons, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, James Parsons.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 6, at 4:00 PM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester. A visiting time for family and friends is Saturday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or the American Lung Association.
