Farmington Obituary: Sandy St. Pierre-Lester

Sandy (Wilson) St. Pierre Lester passed away on Thursday (May 5, 2016), at UConn Health Center.

She was born in Newark, New Jersey on August 16, 1956 to the late Rita & John Wilson. Sandy worked for over 30 years at the Travelers, Citigroup & MetLife Insurance Group with a few exceptional friends over that duration. Sandy loved traveling to mostly the tropics with her husband and her daughters and grandchildren. She also played golf and liked to go to the casino frequently with her husband and siblings. Besides being born in New Jersey and living in the south briefly after her first daughter was born, Sandy lived in Farmington her entire life.

Sandy lost her son, Christopher St. Pierre in a tragic car accident in 2000 but is survived by her beloved husband Jim Lester of Farmington and his mother, Gib Placek of St. Petersburg, Florida, his children Dan Lester and his wife Jill of Durham & Jamie Lester & her significant other Jermaine and their children Connor and Lexi, also of Durham. Sandy leaves two daughters, Lynette St. Pierre of West Hartford, Jennifer St. Pierre & three cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Remy & Savana of Simsbury. She was the eldest of five children whom is also survived by Barry Wilson, Lisa Wilson-Foley and her husband Brian, Nancy Brown & her husband Ted and Scott Wilson all of whom have given her several beautiful nieces & nephews. In New Jersey she leaves many cousins, aunts & uncles.

Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main Street, Rt. 4, Unionville on Monday (May 9, 2016) from 5-7pm followed by a celebration at George’s Pizza, 9 School Street, Unionville. Any stories, recollections, remembrances, memories, impressions are encouraged and welcome to be spoken at George’s Pizza as well.
