
Stephanie M. French, 69, of Boston, MA and formerly of Granby and Farmington, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017, at Boston Medical Center.
Born in McKeesport, PA on February 20, 1948, daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret (Fazekas) Szoke, she was raised in Duquesne, PA and had lived in Granby for 20 years and in Farmington for 5 years before moving to Boston in 1999 to be closer to her daughters. Stephanie worked as an office manager for Coordinated Financial Planning before her retirement in 1990.
The daughter of a minister, she was always very involved in her church and was an active member of South Congregational Church in Granby for many years. As a younger woman, Stephanie enjoyed sewing, playing the piano and guitar, and baking. In recent years, she enjoyed painting, writing with her writing group at The Boston Home, and spending time with her daughters and grandsons.

She leaves two daughters, Laura F. Jumes and her husband Dean of Franklin, MA and Kimberly French of Malden, MA; and two grandsons, Michael and Matthew Jumes both of Franklin, MA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 11 a.m., at the South Congregational Church, 242 Salmon Brook St., Granby. Burial will be private in Granby Cemetery, Granby.

Stephanie’s family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to The Boston Home, 2049 Dorchester Ave., Boston, MA 02124.
