Farmington Obituary: Teresa Gondek, 76

Teresa M. Gondek, 76, formerly of Burlington, beloved widow of Joseph S. Gondek Jr., passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 surrounded by her family.

Born June 3rd, 1939 in Unionville, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Catherine (Kolosky) Mack. Prior to retiring to Sebastian, FL, where she lived an active life for 16 years, Teresa was employed as a Bookkeeper at Edwards Supermarkets, was a Teacher’s Aide at Lake Garda School and was a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Shapiro in Unionville. Teresa was a longtime communicant at the Church of St. Mary Star of the Sea in Unionville. She loved traveling and spending time with her children and 13 grandchildren.

Teresa is survived by her two daughters, Teresa “Terry” M. Kukesh and her husband Tracy and their children, Michael, Andrew and Adam of Exeter, NH, Mary C. Kowalec and her husband Ray and their children Abbey and Trenton of Burlington, her three sons, Joseph S. Gondek III and his wife Suzanne and their children Joseph IV, Sean and Timothy of Sparta, NJ, Stephen T. Gondek and Dala Bansavich and his children Stephen, Patrick and Brendan of Simsbury and Thomas F. Gondek and his wife Christine and their children Ashley and Tommy of Unionville, her sister, Mary Prindiville and her husband Robert of Burlington, two brothers, Edward Mack and his wife Jeanine of Burlington and William Mack and his wife Ellen of Maryland and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia M. Cifaldi.

Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Friday (May 27) from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Saturday (May 28) at 9:15am followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Church of St. Mary Star of the Sea, Unionville at 10:00am. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
