Farmington Official's Retirement Party To Aid Fuel Bank

Tickets are on sale now for a benefit Jan. 19 honoring the Farmington Town Council's longtime chairman.

FARMINGTON, CT — Town officials are hosting a benefit fund-raiser to both honor a veteran town official who has stepped down and to replenish the local fuel bank.

C.J. Thomas, Farmington's veteran town council chairman, will be stepping down from his position after 15 years of service.

As a result, a celebration of his public service will be held on Friday, Jan. 19, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Farmington Gardens located at 999 Farmington Ave., Farmington.

Tickets are $50 per person and include a carving station, heavy hors d'oeuvres , and a cash bar.

A portion of each ticket will go to the Farmington Fuel Bank.

Tickets are available online and in the Farmington Town Hall at the Reception desk.
