Farmington: Pay Your Taxes By Thursday ... Or Else
Thursday, Aug. 1 is the deadline for taxpayers to pay the first installment of their 2024 tax bills or risk having to pay late fines.

FARMINGTON, CT — Town official Monday issued a "friendly reminder" that taxpayers have until Thursday to pay their taxes ... or else.
The first installment of real estate and business/personal property taxes was due July 1 with a secondary deadline of Aug. 1 to avoid paying late fines.

Aug. 1 just happens to be this Thursday, meaning that if you pay your taxes on Friday or later, you will be charged 1.5 percent interest per month afterward until taxes are paid in full.
"Motor vehicle taxes and special service charges (waste collection and/or sewer usage) are also due July 1 and are payable in full no later than the first business day in August," wrote the town Monday.
