Farmington PD Detective Named 2026 Officer of the Year
He was honored last week by the Exchange Club of Farmington.

FARMINGTON, CT — The Exchange Club of Farmington recently honored Det. Zack Martin of the Farmington Police Department.
Martin was named the 2026 "Officer of the Year," according to both the FPD and the club.
The announcement was made on May 22 as part of the Exchange Club’s “Salute to Connecticut’s Finest” program, which honors law enforcement officers from communities across the state.

In a statement, the club praised Martin’s “dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment” to public safety, calling the recognition “well deserved.”
The organization also thanked Martin for his leadership and service to the community, saying his work “inspires all of us.”

The Exchange Club of Farmington is a local service organization focused on community improvement, youth development, and Americanism.
Founded in 1928, the club raises funds for charities, local scholarships, and child abuse prevention initiatives under the national motto, “Unity for Service.”
