Farmington PD to Give Burglary Prevention Tips

Some residents became concerned after a number of burglaries in town.

Farmington Police will hold a meeting about burglary prevention tips after residents became concerned after a number of incidents in town.

Police predict that the town will suffer its usual amount of 40 to 50 burglaries a year, according to NBC Connecticut.

Lt. Colin Ryan , police spokesman noted that some burglaries happen when people are away from their homes for an extended period of time and that it can be helpful to have a neighbor or friend check-in.

The meeting will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Farmington senior center.
