Farmington PD: Woman Stuffs Stolen Mall Merchandise in Son's Backpack

The woman allegedly stuffed stolen items into her 5-year-old son's backpack.

A Hartford woman was arrested by Farmington Police after she allegedly stuffed stolen merchandise in her 5-year-old son’s backpack.

The incident happened on Friday at the JCPenney inside the Westfarms Mall, according to police.

Dominique Osborn, 30, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree larceny and risk of injury to a minor.

Other recent shoplifting arrests at the mall include:

  • Nariandat, Roopnarine, 27, of East Hartford. Charged with sixth-degree larceny and criminal trespass at the Lord and Taylor store on Friday.
  • Diamona Randolph, 29, of Hartford. She was charged with fifth-degree larceny and interfering with an officer after an alleged incident at JCPenney on Saturday
  • Jacqueline Coppedge, 26, of Springfield, Mass. Charged with sixth-degree larceny on Saturday after an alleged incident at the H and M store.
  • Kevin Ramsey, 38, of Queens Village, NY. Arrested and charged with fifth-degree larceny after allegedly shoplifting from Lord and Taylor on Sunday.
