Registration Now Open for Farmington Penguin Plunge to Benefit Special Olympics Connecticut

January 23, 2017- Special Olympics Connecticut presents the Farmington Penguin Plunge at Winding Trails in Farmington, Connecticut, January 29, 2017. This annual fundraiser encourages communities to come together and take the plunge into icy waters to support its more than 13,000 athletes of all abilities who participate in sports training and competition year-round. All are invited to participate, including individuals, friends and families, and teams representing schools, businesses, organizations and clubs.   • Farmington: Sunday, January 29th, at Winding Trails; 50 Winding Trails, Farmington.
  • Registration 8 a.m.; Plunge 10 a.m.

Penguin Plunges provide a fun and festive atmosphere and also offer music, refreshments, awards and parades of plungers in costume to enjoy. To join in the fun, Penguins must be at least 8 years old and need to raise a minimum of $100. In addition to the awards for top fundraisers and best costume, Penguins receive incentive prizes for their fundraising efforts.
