Farmington Police Arrests Include Cruelty to Animals, DUI
A man was charged with cruelty to animals after his horse escaped and was hit by a car, according to police.

Arrests are from Feb. 13 through Feb. 16
- Vanessa Dalessandro, 35, of Avon was arrested Feb. 16 and charged with failure to drive right and operating a vehicle under the influence.
- Stephen Maruzzella, 22, of New Britain was arrested Feb. 15 and charged with sixth degree larceny after he allegedly shoplifted from TJ Maxx on Southeast Road, according to police.
- Richard Valentin, 26, of Middletown was arrested Feb. 15 and charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence.
- Montrell Huff, 37, of Unionville was arrested Feb. 14 following a motor vehicle accident where he allegedly fled from the scene. He was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence, evading responsibility, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, no insurance and failure to drive right.
- Claude Brouillard, 50, of Farmington was arrested Feb. 13. One of his horses escaped his property in October and was struck by a car on Town Farm Road, according to police. The horse was put down as a result of injuries. Brouillard is charged with one count of cruelty to animals.
