Farmington Police Charge Man with Sexual Assault
A former employee of Arden Courts is accused of inappropriately touching a pair of residents.

The Farmington Police Department has made an arrest following two allegations of sexual assault at Arden Courts at 45 South Road.
David Togninalli, 67. of Burlington is charged with second-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree sexual assault.
Police received the complaints from administrators at Arden Courts on Oct. 21, stemming from two separate incidents reported to staff. It was reported that the Maintenance Director for the facility, Togninalli, had inappropriately touched two residents while working at the facility, Lt. Colin Ryan said in a written statement.

Detectives took over the investigation and were able to obtain some corroborating information from Arden Courts staff and ultimately obtained a confession from Togninalli, Ryan said.
An arrest warrant was applied for and issued by GA14 in Hartford. Detectives responded to Togninalli’s residence in Burlington and made the arrest without incident, Ryan said.

He was released after posting the court-set $25,000 bond, and is due in Hartford Superior Court Nov. 10.
Togninalli is no longer employed at Arden Courts, Ryan said.
