Farmington Police/Fire Departments Get Radio Upgrades
The Farmington Town Council has approved contracts for both the police and fire departments for new communications equipment.
FARMINGTON, CT — Local leaders at their last meeting earlier this month took major steps to improve both police and fire department communications.
That's because the Farmington Town Council unanimously approved two separate purchases of new portable radios and accessories to the town's two major public safety agencies.
In the first vote, council members awarded a contract to Motorola Solutions, Inc., of Woodcliff Lake, N.J., to spend $59,150 for new radios for the Farmington Police Department.
