Farmington Police Share Burglary Prevention Tips With Residents
About 100 residents turned out for an informational meeting with police.

Highland neighborhood residents discussed burglary issues in the neighborhood with the Police Department Thursday night.
About 100 residents showed-up to the meeting, according to NBC Connecticut. The town has seen 51 burglaries so far this year, which is about average. The trend this year has been for thieves to steal jewelry from homes during the day.
Police gave tips on how to avoid becoming burglary targets. People shouldn’t post travel plans on social media and should have a neighbor or someone keep an eye out for the property while gone.
