Farmington Public Library To Close Three Days

Both branches are due for some electrical work, prompting the closure.

FARMINGTON, CT — The town's two libraries will be closed for three days next week so some facility maintenance can get finisheds.

According to the Farmington Public Library, both the main library and the Barney site will be closed on Monday, July 24, Tuesday, July 25, and Wednesday, July 26, so workers can finish some electrical work.

Patrons will be able to access the libraries' catalog online as well as many of its eCollections including databases, eBook platforms and other resources, according to library officials.

The book drops will remain open, however no items will be due on these dates.

"We thank you for your understanding as we get this necessary work complete," wrote the library. "We plan to reopen for our regular hours at both branches on Thursday, July 27, however we ask for you to check back for any updates including unexpected closures."
