Farmington PZC Issues Duck Denial
The planning and zoning commission last month shot down a permit from one resident to raise ducks at his residential property — for now.

FARMINGTON, CT — Plans for a local resident to raise ducks on his property were not what they were quacked up to be, as the local plan and zoning commission said 'no.'
Farmington PZC members unanimously denied a special permit application for resident Patrick Foss to raise up to 17 female ducks for his residential property at 325A Scott Swamp Road.
The plan, however, hasn't flown the coup as Farmington Town Planner Shannon Rutherford pointed out to PZC members July 25 that Foss "had not met notice requirement and has not submitted consent for an extension of time," according to meeting minutes.

As a result, the town said the application be denied "without prejudice" so Foss can re-apply later on his plans.
For Foss, a re-application and, subsequent approval, would be more than just "ducky," it would be welcome.
