Farmington Resident Recalls Father's Paperboy Stories for Courant's 250th Anniversary

Richard Colgan won a four-day trip to the city for his ability to sell Courant newspapers.

Farmington resident Denise Connolly recalled how her father had won a four-day trip to New York City as a paperboy for the Hartford Courant.

Richard Colgan was one of 20 paperboys in 1941 that won a trip to the city for their sales ability. They got a tour of the city that included a trip to Radio City Music hall and a Yankees game.
