FARMINGTON/PLAINVILLE, CT — One Farmington resident's trip to a Plainville convenience store proved quite lucrative — to the tune of $100,000.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., an anonymous individual from Farmington won $100,000 playing the Cash 5 drawing on Friday, July 7, the maximum payout for the game.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Plainville Kwik Mart, 380 New Britain Ave.

Cash 5 is a daily drawing game that costs $1 to play, with an additional 50 cent wager option allowed to increase the odds a bit, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp.
