Farmington Retirees Make Dog Snacks For Area Rescue Group

Residents of Farmington Station rolled up their sleeves and went to work for a Bloomfield-based canine rescue organization.

FARMINGTON, CT — Thanks to the efforts of seniors living at a local retirement facility, dogs looking for a forever home now have something to munch on while they wait.

Recently, residents of Farmington Station, located at 111 Scott Swamp Road, Farmington, rolled up their sleeves and made homemade dog treats for an area canine rescue operation.

Farmington Station is a senior living community that offers its residents community services that allow them to live independently, yet still have safety-ensuring services nearby.

The efforts of residents there will go to Dog Star Rescue out of Bloomfield, which rescues canines in bad situations and helps find forever homes for its clients.
