Farmington Retirement Facility Honors Graduate Employees

The Farmington assisted living facility recently honored four young employees there who graduated from high school and college this year.

FARMINGTON, CT — Folks living at a Farmington retirement complex recently honored the employees who just happened to be members of the Class of 2024 of their respective schools.

Residents at Middlewoods of Farmington honored the senior living community’s employee graduates during a celebration on July 11.

"Current Middlewoods team members and 2024 graduates of high school or college were recognized for their accomplishments and personally thanked by residents for the service and support they provide at Middlewoods," wrote Middlewoods in a statement.

All four of the graduates work as servers on the Middlewoods dining services team:

• Key Pacheco is a New Britain High School graduate who will be pursuing certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.)

• Nicole Sutliff is a five-year employee, and an Eastern Connecticut State University graduate who will be pursuing her master’s in education.

• Eaymen Alwashah is a New Britain High School graduate who will be attending the University of Connecticut.

• Magdi Abdulla is a New Britain High School graduate who will be attending Central Connecticut State University.

Graduates were invited to share their plans for the upcoming year and take photos with residents, who offered wisdom and encouragement for the students’ next chapter and presented each student with an appreciation gift.

“They have done an excellent job in our dining room and make our Middlewoods residents feel like part of their extended family,” said Middlewoods Chef Manager, Michael Robinson. “We are fortunate that most of them will remain on our team while they pursue their future goals.”
