Farmington Road Reopens After Being Closed Thursday Morning: UPDATE

According to police, utility wires were down on the roadway, which forced its closure, but the road has reopened.

FARMINGTON, CT — Local police Wednesday afternoon shut down a roadway to traffic due to an incident there, with the road only reopening Thursday morning.

The Farmington Police Department said South Road was closed between Patrick Flood Road and Munson Road.

According to police, utility wires were down on the roadway and the area is too dangerous for traffic.

Police issued the alert via "X" at 2:03 p.m.

By 6:50 a.m. Thursday, the FPD notified the public that the road had finally been reopened.
