Farmington Road Reopens After Truck Crash: Police

The roadway was closed overnight after a utility pole was damaged.

FARMINGTON, CT — Main Street in the Unionville section of Farmington reopened Thursday morning after being closed overnight due to a truck crash into a utility pole.

The Farmington Police Department announced the road's reopening at about 6:16 a.m. Thursday, according to its Twitter feed.

Wednesday night, Farmington police said Main Street (Route 4) was closed between Perry Street and South Main Street (Route 177) due to a damaged utility pole.

Police said the pole was hit by a box truck just before 8:16 p.m. Wednesday and no injuries were reported.

During the overnight closure, traffic was detoured onto Perry Street, police said.
