Farmington School Holds Annual Art Auction

The Goddard School raised money to purchase supplies for Connecticut Children's Medical Center.

The Goddard School in Farmington recently held its Second Annual Silent Art Auction and raised $775 that will be used to purchase art supplies for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Students, ranging in age from 3 months to 5 years, recreated famous pieces of artwork as well as created their own masterpieces to auction off.

Representations include Eiffel Tower by Georges Seurat, Vase of Tulips by Claude Monet, Roses by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Light Iris by Georgie O’Keefe and Number 11 by Jackson Pollack.

The money raised will be used to purchase crayons, play dough, watercolors, canvases, crafting beads, and more for the hospital.
