Farmington State Rep. Demicco Applauds Opening of Jackson Labs

Demicco said the lab's opening is a great thing for Farmington residents.

State Rep. Mike Demicco (D-Farmington, Unionville) applauded the opening of the new Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine earlier this week.

“I thank the Governor and the Bond Commission for their support of Bioscience Connecticut and the Jackson Labs project here in Farmington,” he said in a statement. “We are very fortunate to have such a facility here in town that will bring scientists and researchers to live and work here in Farmington.”

Gov. Dannel Malloy has lauded the opening of the lab as a job creator and an important step to securing the state’s place as a hotspot for the bioscience industry.
