AVON/FARMINGTON, CT — A visit to a grocery story in Farmington was quite profitable for an Avon woman, who hit a scratch-off ticket purchased there for $25,000 this week.

The Connecticut Lottery Corp. reports that Kathy Kaflik of Avon won that amount playing a $10 scratch-off game called Electric 7's on Wednesday.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Stop & Shop located in the Unionville section of Farmington, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp.
