Farmington: Stoplight Work Could Slow Traffic

Maintenance work is being done on several traffic lights on Route 4 starting Wednesday, Dec. 6, to Friday, Dec. 8.

FARMINGTON, CT —Motorists on a busy stretch of Farmington roadway are being warned that ongoing work on traffic lights could impact their travels later this week.

According to town officials, work crews will be at several Farmington traffic lights on Farmington Avenue (Route 4) from Wednesday, Dec. 6, to Friday, Dec. 8., between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The intersections impacted are all of them between Town Farm Road and Monteith Drive.

"Crews will be on the shoulder of the road and, while the impact to traffic is expected to be minimal, intermittent work may be conducted in the roadway, potentially impacting traffic flow," wrote the Town of Farmington in an announcement.
