Farmington Students Succeed at Regional Music Festival

Sixty-eight students from Farmington qualified as all-conference musicians.

Vocal and instrumental music students from Farmington High School enjoyed considerable success at the recent Northern Regional Conference Music Festival at New Britain High School.

Students selected for the music festival auditioned in November, performing individually for a set of judges. These musicians come from towns across the state and join together to form an all-conference band, choir and orchestra. Each ensemble is conducted by a college conductor.

Farmington High School had a very strong showing with 68 students qualifying as all-conference musicians this year: 24 students in the orchestra, five in the band and 39 in the choir. Four students qualified for both choir and orchestra.
