Farmington Swimmer Wins Event at Class L Championships

Indians place in the top eight in five events in the class championship meet at Wesleyan University.

MIDDLETOWN, CT - Josh Wroblewski had an impressive showing at the Class L boys swimming championships Wednesday, capturing an individual event and placing second in another at Wesleyan University.

The junior won the 500 freestyle in a time of 4:34.20, and took second in the 200 freestyle, bettering his preliminary time by nearly three and a half seconds.

Wroblewski was also part of the 200 freestyle relay team that finished fourth, along with Gaby Hernandez-Paese, Charlie Leary and Adam Liu.

Liu took fifth in the 100 butterfly, and swam anchor on the 200 medley relay team of Michael Carosielli, Hernandez-Paese and Leary that finished sixth.

Farmington placed sixth in team competition.
