Farmington Town Council to Consider Land Acquisition to Complete Farmington Flats

The deal would allow the town to preserve the Farmington Flats area.

The Farmington Town Council will vote at its Tuesday meeting on whether to recommend the purchasing of 14 acres of land located at 40 Meadow Lane.

The land acquisition would complete the preservation of existing farmland commonly referred to as the Farmington Flats. It would also link with the Scott Swamp Sanctuary and Tunxis Mead Park to the Farmington River.

An appraised value of $360,000 has been set for the land.
