Farmington Town Hall's Big Move: The Latest

Farmington officials said Tuesday that most of the town's departments have now moved to the new town hall facility on Monteith Drive.

FARMINGTON, CT — Local officials said Tuesday that most of Farmington Town Hall operations are now functioning in the new facility, with two more move-in phases yet to finish.

Residents will now find several municipal offices operating out of the “1928 Building” at 20 Monteith Drive as town officials complete the first two phases of the Farmington Town Hall relocation project.

Officials announced that Phases 1 and 2 are complete, moving the following departments to the Monteith Drive building: assessor; development wing, including the building official, fire marshal, engineering, and planning and zoning; economic development; recreation; registrar of voters; tax collector; town clerk; and town manager.

The relocation is part of a multi-phase transition.

During Phase 3, the town clerk’s vault is being transferred, which may temporarily delay some services.

Residents are encouraged to call ahead before visiting the town hall to confirm availability and avoid inconvenience.

Town officials thanked residents for their patience as the transition continues.
