Farmington Town Council approves four-year extension and $183K salary for Kathleen Blonski.

FARMINGTON, CT — The town's top appointed official received a major vote of confidence this week courtesy of the town's top elected body.
The Farmington Town Council voted unanimously Tuesday to extend Farmington Town Manager Kathleen Blonski's contract from July 1 to June 26, 2026.
The four-year extension comes with a new, annual salary of $183,000 and the vote came after an executive session in which the full council discussed Blonski's performance evaluation.

Ultimately, the evaluation went well for Blonski, with council members praising the work she's done.
Farmington Town Council Chairman C.J. Thomas said, according to meeting minutes, that "the town council's unanimous assessment of the job Kathy Blonski has done this past year as town manager is excellent."

"During these extraordinary times, Farmington has continued to be a location sought out by new residents and businesses alike," Thomas said in meeting minutes.
Other aspects of Blonski's contract that were approved include:
•7 percent of her salary will go toward a retirement health savings plan.
• If Blonski exceeds goals and objectives this year, the town will contribute $10,000 to Blonski's health savings plan.
