Farmington Town Manager Proposes $26 Million Capital Improvement Plan

The plan would last five years and pay for things like new fire engines.

Farmington Town Manager Kathy Eagen has proposed a five-year $26 million capital improvement plan.

The proposal includes money for two new fire engines, a dump truck, road reconstruction, and improvements at the police station, according to the Hartford Courant.

About $16.3 million in projects would be funded through the general fund.

Council member Jeff Apuzza had some concerns, especially with a request for a new heating plant at Irving A. Robbins Middle School and the fact that Farmington will get less money this year from the state.
