Farmington Town, School Presidents Day Impacts Announced
Local pupils will enjoy a four-day break during Presidents Day weekend.

FARMINGTON, CT — Town employees will have a long weekend, like many municipalities, with a three-day break that includes a day off for Presidents Day Monday, Feb. 20.
School staffers and students, meanwhile, will have an extra long, four-day break this weekend.
Farmington officials this week announced town offices, including Farmington Town Hall and the Farmington Senior Center, will be closed on the Presidents Day holiday, with normal hours returning Tuesday Feb. 21.

Meanwhile, Farmington's two library sites will be closed on the holiday, reopening as normal on Tuesday, Feb. 21.
Farmington schools break for their winter recess with Presidents Day Monday, Feb. 20, as well as Tuesday, Feb. 21, being days off. Classes resume Wednesday, Feb. 22.

The Presidents Day holiday will not impact trash collection schedules during the week, according to town officials.
This pertains to Farmington residents who have trash and recycling collection paid through the town's special service tax and picked up by the town's contractor (Waste Material Trucking Co.)
