Farmington UNICO Citizen of the Year
Officer Joseph Capodiferro is the 2016 Farmington UNICO Citizen of the Year Award Ceremony Oct. 23 at our "Italian Sunday Dinner"

The Farmington Chapter of UNICO is honored to announce the 2016 Farmington UNICO Citizen of the Year Award recipient Officer Joseph Capodiferro, a recently retired Farmington Police Officer. UNICO will present its award at our "Italian Sunday Dinner", Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 6:00 P.M., at the Holy Family Retreat Center . All are invited to attend.
UNICO National, the United States' largest Italian-American service organization, stands for Unity, Neighborliness, Integrity, Charity and Opportunity. The Citizen of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has distinguished himself or herself with unselfish service to the community, snd who has helped make Farmington a better place in which to live.
"Our Board of Directors are very pleased to bestow this award on Joe. Officer Capodifero recently retired after 26 years of dedicated service to the town of Farmington and has helped many of our children feel safe by spending time in our schools and around the community side by side with his K-9 partner, Drak." said Frank Dolce, President of Farmington UNICO.

Joe is a 3rd generation Farmington Police Officer and has remained with the Deoartment as a Supernumerary Officer.
