Farmington Voters Pass $57 Million Plant Upgrade and Other Election Results

Results on local races and more on the water plant upgrade.

Farmington voters approved a more than $57 million planned upgrade to the water treatment facility by a margin of about 6,000 to 3,000, according to the Hartford Courant.

The question was widely anticipated to pass by officials. Avon, Canton and the University of Connecticut Health Center are kicking in funds to help pay for the project and the state gave a grant for the project.

Democrat incumbent Beth Bye beat Republican challenger Bill Wadsworth in the 5th Senate District, according to the Hartford Courant.
