As part of that, Farmington is asking folks to complete an online survey to provide the town with information toward that end.

"To gain a better understanding of local bicyclists' experiences in town, a public survey has been developed so that bicyclists in the community can provide their input," wrote town officials

The survey, done via the SurveyMonkey platform, will be available for public input through Oct. 15.

"This survey is open to anyone familiar with or interested in bicycling in the community. We want to hear from residents, local area bicyclists, and bike advocates about your experiences and perceptions of bicycling in the community," wrote the town.

"Your input will help the League and the town to better understand current bicycling conditions and potential areas for improvement."

The Town of Farmington recently applied to the League of American Bicyclists to renew its status as a Bicycle Friendly Community.
