
The Farmington Youth Baseball League just announced its Registration schedule for the 2017 season. The first registration period is scheduled for Friday night, January 20th from 6-8:30 pm in the Farmington Police Station located at 319 New Britian Avenue in Farmington. The second session is scheduled on Saturday January 21st from 9 am to noon, in the same location. All girls and boys, ages 4-16, are encouraged to come out and register and learn more about your youth baseball league.
The League, in existence for over forty years, has just enjoyed a terrific 2016 baseball season. All three District Teams advanced through the first round of the District Tournament. The League’s 12 year old team fell in the Championship Game while our 11 Year Old Team enjoyed an amazing and gutty run, placing second in the entire State Tournament. At a recent Board meeting, League President, Michael Gulino reported that the league is “in excellent shape”. “We consistently develop top flight players and teams, but more importantly, we foster a culture of good citizenship”, Gulino stated.
FYBL enrolled 480 players in the 2016 Spring League Season. Many players also played in the Summer League and Fall Ball. FYBL is proud to announce that it will again host the extremely successful Lindquist Tournament which brings in competitive teams from the region.

Board Member Steven Guglietta, Chairman of the Publicity Committee, praised the Board and parent volunteers for making meaningful improvements to the fields and programs. This time of year the Board is “actively assessing needs, goals and an overall business plan; the Board Members have very little time off in pursuit of improving our program”, reported Guglietta.
FYBL supports and organizes many baseball and softball leagues including: T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Machine Pitch, Minors, Majors and Seniors. “We have something for boys and girls of all ages and experience”, reported longtime Board Member, John Kelly.
