Farmington's Neediest Families to Enjoy Classic Thanksgiving Dinners, Courtesy of KBE Building Corp. - Donations Still Needed

Volunteers to assemble, deliver 24 boxes on Nov. 22 from 8-10 a.m.

FARMINGTON, Conn., Nov. 19, 2014 – To help Farmington Community Services raise awareness of and meet the growing needs of disadvantaged local families, volunteers from KBE Building Corp. will assemble and deliver 24 donated Thanksgiving dinners during the firm’s sixth annual “Gift of Gobble” event on Nov. 22.

KBE staff members and their families will assemble and deliver 24 boxes – each including a turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, corn, beans, potatoes, yams, rolls, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and a roasting pan – to Farmington Community Services.

KBE purchased all food items from Bozzuto’s. W.B. Mason is donating the boxes.

WHY:

A growing number of families in Farmington are facing poverty – which means paying for meals is a daily struggle. Farmington Community Services needs help raising awareness of and meeting this increased need – and KBE Building Corp. wants to help.

WHEN:

Assembly will occur on Sat., Nov. 22 from 8 to 10 a.m.

Delivery will begin after all boxes have been assembled, tentatively at 10 a.m. on Nov. 22. Please call Jonelle Lawhorn at 860.836.7517 on the morning of Nov. 22 for a more precise start time for delivery.
